Joe D’Anna
Pearl River, NY
My name is Joseph D’Anna, and I am currently a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. I spend a lot of my time doing schoolwork, but when I am not doing that I am either working on co-op/internship or tinkering with my newest project that piqued my interest. I also enjoy fencing, playing tennis and basketball. I have a passion for both the robotics and automotive fields but am interested in anything mechanically inclined. I am a very hands-on person with a lot of technical skills for designing and prototyping. I sharpen these skills with my involvement each co-op and project on work on throughout my education. I have worked with a many different materials and machinery to help me turn mine and clients ideas into reality. The thing I really like about Engineering is the problem-solving and the opportunity to learn and work with others. I have always been a very mechanical person, having played with Legos from a young age and then progressing to remote control cars when I was older. These activities translated very well into mechanical engineering and robotics, which I hope to develop more throughout college. I am ready to advance my skills once again and take on my second co-op position.
